The sound of an impending thunderstorm upon the mountainside as the eerie winds shoot through the canyon.

Just good hard rain! no lightening or thunder. . Just solid rain pounding on the concrete outside my door. . I mean - it was flooding! made for some great sound though!!.

This is a recording of the wind whistling between the cracks in the window, creating very unpleasant unpeaceful atmosphere (with occasional very quiet blind scratching against the window). Made with canon camcorder.

Also used a few patches from a symsynth to build the thunderclap and some of the rain effects. Added some delays, reverb, compression and eq as well as splitting several tracks and offsetting them to create a spacial soundscape.

Rode nt4 -> maudio delta1010lt, capturing a lightning strike that made the walls of my house shake, and forced me to turn off my computer. The lightning occured ~167 meters away from the microphone, calculated from the time lapse between the initial dc spike and the start of audible strike. Clipped quite a bit, had the input slightly too high, but did not expect one to hit so close. A picture hanging on my wall shook violently when this one hit. Bad windstorm was came to pécel, hungary on 31st march 2012. I recorded some sounds caused by the wind, for example door shutting, trees whizzing, etc. I used sony stereo dictaphone, 44100 khz, 16 bits, stereo. I tried to minimize the rumbling sounds.
